There is a temptation amongst those of us that shoot with and test DSLRs for a living to be more than a little dismissive about entry-level cameras like the Nikon D3000. However, first-time DSLR buyers are enormously important to camera manufacturers, and the competition amongst them for a share of the entry-level market is intense. The D60, which is replaced by the D3000, was Nikon’s best-selling DLSR, and it is the success of products like this that drives the development of everything from low-end Coolpix models to the recently announced professional level D3s. But the success of entry-level DSLRs isn’t just good news for camera manufacturers – today’s ‘low end’ offerings are highly specified, powerful tools, which – had they been released a few years ago – would have commanded much higher prices than they do today.

Auto Exposure Bracketing atau biasa disingkat AEB adalah sebuah pilihan dimana pada saat digunakan, kamera akan secara otomatis mengambil gambar dengan tiga tingkat brightness yang berbeda. Contohnya adalah seperti gambar diatas. Cara memilih menu bracketing adalah (tombol di sebagian kamera, ada pertanyaan? silahkan comment di posting ini):

1. Tekan tombol Menu.

2. Lalu arahkan ke menu kedua dari kiri

3. Di baris pertama anda akan menemukan menu dengan tulisan AEB, lalu anda pilih.

4. Lalu geser ke kanan 2 kali atau sampai anda menemukan titik dibawah tulisan -1 dan +1.

5. OK!

Setelah menu AEB dipilih, mulailah set kamera anda seperti ini

1. Set kamera di Av

2. Set di bukaan terbesar.

3. Set drive mode : continious shooting

Setelah di set, mulailah berkreasi :

1. Arahkan kamera ke objek tujuan

2. Tekan dan tahan tombol shoot sampai gambar terambil sebanyak 3 kali.

3. Jika anda melakukan semua instruksi dengan benar, maka akan ada tiga gambar, dengan objek yang sama, dengan tingkat brightness yang berbeda.
